    Facebook, you DICKS!

Why are you banning pictures of breastfeeding? Why would you ban something that is perfectly natural, not obscene and so important to support? You stupid, ignorant, puritan dicks.

I hate you Facebook. You are so shit. In fact you are stale old shit with whipped melamine tainted baby formula on top.

The First lady of Star Trek

  • Adam Cavill 10:40 am on December 19, 2008 Permalink | Reply

Majel Barrett-Roddenberry has passed away. She played Lwaxana Troi in Star Trek TNG and DS9. She played Nurse Chapel in Star Trek and Number 1 in TOS. She was also the voice of the computer in every series.

I don’t know what to say. It’s too sad.

Here’s a link to the Fark thread where you can see how upsetting it is for all of us nerds.

I am crying. I LOVED her. She was warm and brilliant and witty and utterly wonderful and one of the people I would most have liked to meet (and fling my arms around and call Mommy!) and now she is gone.

    Unwritten Hockey Rule

I was looking at this article on Digg:

Etiquette of NHL Fights. There are rules in this fight game!

    Someone wrote this:

    You can’t use your knife-boots.

    Oliver Postgate, December 8, 2008

Oliver Postgate has passed away. He made some very lovely television shows. Bagpuss, The Clangers, and Ivor the Engine among them.

His characters were charming and anarchic. They lived in worlds like our own that had their own skewed logic.

His television shows were the most popular children’s shows in Britain ever. They were made in a small shed in Kent, with homemade equipment, the main ingredients being imagination and love.

When all those Bratz and High School Musical DVDs are landfill, people will still love Bagpuss, and so, Oliver Postgate, a very good man, will live on.

    Joker Chat

ME: Do people who identify with The Joker think that life is a cruel joke?

ME: Or are they just interested in meeting Batman?

Tiger: People who identify with The Joker are attracted by his anarchy and fashion stylings. They aren’t really thinking further ahead about the consequences that kind of lifestyle will bring.

December 17, 2008. I just found this on the Smoking Gun. Joker Busted. See?

…….and no thoughts as to the cost of the make-up and cosmetics bill! …..but seriously, or not, people love to laugh at malevolence especially when the character has some redeeming features…

      Joker: Wit and no boundaries.
Dexter: Wry smile and a code.

      …you get the picture.

      BTW I hate GNR too.
