  Hi everyone! You can guess how excited I’ve been about the Olympics this year!

  SUPER EXCITED! SO EXCITED I DIDN’T EVEN WATCH ANY! SO EXCITED I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT MICHAEL PHELPS LOOKS LIKE!!!!!!! SO EXCITED I DON”T CARE ONE BIT! SO EXCITED IT’S LIKE I HATE THEM! FOUR YEARS OF IT!

  How lucky Londoners are! They will have all kinds of Olympic excitment for the next FOUR YEARS! EXCITING! OLYMPICS! EXCITMENT! OLYMPIC STYLE EXCITMENT!

  Nine Inch Nails: The Slip 

  

  The new Nine Inch Nails album, entitled The Slip, is available here: http://theslip.nin.com/ for free. Legally free.

  Mr. Reznor said this about it: “Thank you for your continued and loyal support over the years — this one’s on me.”

  I don’t really have any great insights into the future of music revenues. As a musician, I have struggled hard just to get my work heard nevermind getting paid for it. NIN look like a promotional model of the future to me.

  Our new album will be released in a similar way. More on that early next year.

    Its a great album. HMV has it on the shelf for 25Bux

    I’ve enjoyed a tonne of NIN over the years .. and never flipped them so much as a dime….. and I really like this work. So I’ll cough up for it.

    They play Montreal in October or Novemeber I think.

  Colonel-in-Chief, Nils Olav 

  There is a penguin in the Edinburgh Zoo named Nils Olav. He holds the rank of Colonel-in-Chief in the Norwegian Kings guard. It looks like he will be again rewarded for his loyal service. Rumours of a knighthood abound. You can read more about him here.

  I found out about this penguin when I lived in Edinburgh. I am very pleased to hear that he may become Sir Nils Olav.
