What is wrong with the people here that seem to actively hate bicycles and cyclists? Did they never learn how to ride? Did a cyclist cut them off in their SUV when they were going to Linen’N'Things? Do they think bicycles are anti-American? Seriously, I seem to get some kind of shit every other day from somebody because of my bike.
Well in terms of motorized vehicle vs bike I’m going to lose every time. They are faster, bigger and more dangerous than I will ever be. The thing is though, I’m not destroying the environment or killing people in accidents.
Shouldn’t people LIKE cyclists? Shouldn’t I get a badge or something instead of a shitty attitude and a dirty look?

Well I see at least seven or eight giant road hogging SUV’s every day, and sitting in them is normally one anorexic girl clutching the wheel with bony claws, hair scraped back in the tightest ponytail, gabbing away on her mobile. Sometimes it is not a starving girl but a fat man. The adverts on television here push SUV’s like crack. If the television tells you what to do, why think for yourself?
Its funny you should say that, we are now proud owners of two bikes, a fold away and a diamond back mid range mountain bike.

We are starting to have big problems here in the city i live, I myself can’t stand bikers, every run in with them has been a bad one, I used to be so tolerant of cyclists, but I have yet to see one stop for a red light or stop sign, they hog the road, hold up traffic all that fun stuff, and to this conclusion I have come, after several bird shots given to me, I don’t know why, being late for work because of pack bikers., etc I have even been tempted to see how close i can get to the assholes, so bikers please keep whining and dis obeying traffic rules, and bitching about vehicles ya can’t afford love ya!!!!

When I cycle I follow every rule. Maybe we can learn to share. Maybe we should all be more careful.
Not concerned about you’re own safty? Leaving your family without a father or mother for your own principles, then keep riding so close to the in road until the tragidy happens. Well, I guess you can say in heaven that I did what I know were my rights.
I’m more than willing to give you biclclist space but, use common sinse. You can’t win when it come to a 2000 pound car or 4000 pound truck.
I agree Jim. Common sense should be exercised. Cyclists and motorized vehicles need to be very carful around each other. A little common courtesy never hurt any one.

Yesterday as I was leaving work and cyclist was riding the line eventhough he had 5 feet of paved shoulder. It was extreamly busy with cars. When I saw the truck in front of me swirve to miss the cyclist I had only four choses. Hit the car beside of me, slam on my breaks and cause the car behind me to hit me, hit the bike or try to get through. I choose to drive through. Luckly, for me and the cyclist I made it but, the cyclist got so pissed off. I pulled over on the shoulder and waited for him to catch up with me. He never stopped but rode by me yelling obsentities at me. I drove up next to him and pulled down my window on the passengers side. He said I didn’t give him any room. I told him he had 5 feet of payment and he didn’t give me any choice. Well, this didn’t get anywhere so I left. In Illinois they have more rights than I. I would have been automaticilly at faught it I had hit him. This sucks!
