Music is our witness and comforter through dark times, it cheers us on when we are happy. It is a teacher and wiser friend. It can be cynical when we need to hate. It can punish us when we need to hurt. It can make you fall in love. It can remind you why you fell in love. It flows through time in many forms and snakes its way around us like white Chinese water dragons, whispering ‘On, on!’

When desperate it gives us five more minutes to reconsider.

Classical music and trance music enhance our brain waves, which is pretty groovy.

We recognise and respond to music before we learn to speak.

Today I am listening to music that was written by women around the time I was born, nearly thirty four years ago. It is good to be in a world where Grace Slick, Joni Mitchell and Stevie Nicks already paved the path with their experiences, thoughts and imaginings.
