Got Beta for Lord of the Rings Online
Yep, got Beta testing for it, this Saturday. Which is pretty exciting as it’s the first LOTR online MMORPG game and we have been waiting for it for about two years.
However
The developers at Turbine were also responsible for the excruciatingly boring Dungeons and Dragon MMORPG, a game so crappy that it made me actually shout at the box it came in. Just before we moved house I found that box again, and I took great pleasure in dropping it from the top of our stairs down to the bottom of the 3 flight stairwell. Then I ran downstairs carried it all the way back up and did it again. I don’t know where it is now, but I’m hoping it is being repeatedly run over by Motorbike Metallers on the Holloway Road.
Turbine also ditched Asheron’s Call 2 in a move that broke the hearts of many loyal fans and there is nothing sadder than seeing mighty warriors cry and set up online support groups. So I am rightly suspicious of Turbine and all that comes with it.
We’ll see how it goes this weekend.
