    Ugly Old Pigeon Lady Plate

    WHY WHY WHY
Why on earth is this on the wall?

Um, Adam that plate is a family heirloom. It is part of the large collection of ornamental plates that your late Grandparents collected and we shall soon be hanging similar plates on the walls of our beautiful home, including one of Shirley Temple. I thought it would look charming in your den.

      Your loving wife

That photo was emblazoned of me on that plate 30 years ago. I am now 105 years young and think that I look rather beautiful then. The crook in my back still left me to see the horrified faces of the children that passed by. I had always thought the balloons would somehow make then feel safer and yet for some reason they would still shout at me.

By the by, your cousin is wondering what Tiger’s email is, would like to drop a line.

“I don’t know if the pants still fit, but I know the hat will”

    - Harrison Ford after the announcement that Indiana Jones IV will commence shooting in June.

He also says he is excited about working with his friends again.

I’m sad about growing up. There is this part of me cringing at the idea of IV. When I was twelve I stood outside the cinema gazing up at the gigantic cut-out of Indiana Jones, hat, whip, bandaged knuckles and covered in dirt/sweat/blood/dust alongside which the words “The hero is back” were emblazoned in fire red “action” lettering. Classic hero poster. (More …)

That’s funny – a friend in Sydney was just telling me that her husband wants to call their kid Indiana, because he was obsessed with Harrison Ford as a little boy. What’s wrong with Han, though?

I think Han is a nice name too.
      Han Cavill. Indiana Cavill. Hmmm
      Luke Cavill
      Leia Cavill

Anakin Cavill sounds good but will get shortened to Ani Cavill which is horrid.

It’s a bit Anal Cavity, isn’t it? Pete’s still not cracking on the Django Valentish front. But I’ll be buggered if I’m going to call my kids Chan and Wilco!

      Anal Cavity LOL.
Our first choice is Kahless the Unforgettable. Which is the name of the founder of the Klingon Empire.

Kahlass the Unforgettable Cavill – This way I can push my son into being in a prog rock band, where everyone has similarly stupid names.

You got lucky with your surname though, romantic it is, how about these

Hugo Valentish – sounds like a large bottomed restaurant critic, whereas
Hugh Valentish – sounds like a handsome movie star with strong jawline rrrowrr!
Amir Valentish – Bollywood Heart throb (very white teeth)
Cheech Valentish – Stoner brown corderoy boy with fuzzy hair that no one fancies

Xena the Warrior Valentish – marries Kahless the Unforgettable Cavill – they give birth (amongst thunder and lightening) to a son named Conan.

Tudor Valentish – Goth, pale, redhead, long nails, vegan
Sebastian Valentish – Vampire, pale, despises people called Tudor
Rayne Valentish – EMO, cries, has a band called Tears in Rayne, kisses other EMO boys
Romany Valentish – confusing female experimental film director into Lesbian vampires
Brit Valentish – offspring of you, Pete, and Posh’n'Becks
